At Saree Story, we celebrate the unique beauty of handcrafted Indian textiles sourced directly from artisans. We deeply respect your hard-earned money and handpick every piece to ensure high quality, authenticity, and a genuine artisan heritage. Your trust fuels our story!
1. The Nature of Handmade Textiles
Color Variations: Please note that the colors of the products may appear slightly different in photographs due to studio lighting, device screen settings, and the natural variations inherent in handwoven textiles. This is a natural part of the artisanal process and is not a defect.
Artisanal Character: Natural characteristics such as slight misprints, faded effects, subtle irregularities, or gentle stains are intentional features and intrinsic hallmarks of authentic handmade craftsmanship (such as Banarasi, Chanderi, Kalamkari, etc.). These elements reflect the authenticity and individuality of each piece. Given the nature of handmade textiles, returns are not accepted for these natural variations.
2. Eligibility Criteria

⚠️ Mandatory Parcel Opening Video
To process your request transparently and protect against transit disputes, a continuous, unedited video of the parcel unboxing from start to finish is mandatory. For damaged or incorrect items, you must also provide clear photographs of the product, the price tag, and the shipping packaging it arrived in.
3. Return Windows & Shipping Fees
Timeframe: All return requests must be initiated and posted within 3 days of delivery.
For Damaged / Incorrect Items: We will gladly arrange a free return pickup service from our end.
For Personal Preference Returns: If you wish to return/exchange an item simply because you do not like the color, design, or material, the request is subject to approval. Upon approval, it is your responsibility to ship the item back to us at your own courier expense.
4. Step-by-Step Return Process
Submit Request: Submit a return request through your online store account dashboard, specifying the precise reason.
Pack Securely: Upon approval from our support desk, securely pack the item in its original packaging.
Include Tags: The original price tag must be included (it can be detached but must be present in the box).
Maintain Condition: The saree folding must remain unaltered, and the product must be completely unused, unwashed, and unworn.
Please Note: If a product is opened, worn, altered, or not returned in its original folding, the return may be rejected or a partial charge may be applied for professional ironing and restoration.

5. Inspection & Refunds
Quality Check: You will receive an email or WhatsApp notification once your package arrives at our Return Desk. Our quality assurance team will inspect the item to ensure it shows no signs of wear, use, washing, or altered folding.
Refund Options: If the return passes inspection, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method, or you may choose to purchase a similar or equivalent value product within 7 days.
Processing Timeline: Refunds are processed on our end within 24 hours to 3 working days. In some cases, depending on your trusted third-party payment gateway or bank clearing cycle, it may take up to 1 week to reflect in your account. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to ensure smooth transactions.
