2. A legacy of craftmanship shortly - Add history of product also.
Kala cotton is not just a fabric—it’s a living heritage. Indigenous to the arid landscapes of Kutch, Gujarat, this short-staple, rain-fed cotton has been cultivated for generations without irrigation or chemical inputs. Historically woven by rural artisan communities on traditional pit looms, Kala cotton was nearly lost to industrial textile shifts before being revived by conscious weavers and heritage curators in the early 2000s.
At Saree Story with Shanmuga Priya & Azhagi, we honor this legacy by partnering directly with master weavers who keep the handloom tradition alive. Each stole is a testament to slow fashion: ethically sourced, meticulously handwoven, and designed to age gracefully with you. When you wear Kala cotton, you carry forward a story of resilience, sustainability, and Indian artisanal pride.

4. Wash care etc - Mention wash care Hand shampoo wash, dry in it shadow, dont directly expose in sunlight...
🧼 Wash & Care Instructions: • Always hand shampoo wash only using a mild, pH-neutral cleanser or gentle hair shampoo to preserve natural fibers. • Soak for 5–10 minutes, gently agitate, and rinse thoroughly in cool water. Do not wring or twist. • Dry in shadow on a flat surface or drying rack. Don’t directly expose in sunlight to prevent fiber weakening and color fading. • Iron on low to medium heat while slightly damp. Use a cotton cloth barrier if needed. • Store folded in a breathable cotton bag away from moisture. Avoid plastic covers to prevent yellowing. • Note: Slight shrinkage (3–5%) after first wash is natural for handwoven Kala cotton and will stabilize with use.
